GeorgeFM 'Doorlist' gig this Friday

Posted by tomachi on October 15th, 2008 filed in Gigs

This sounds cool: 25 DJs in 8 hours!!! GeorgeFM have given me two double passes to give away! To win, just email me back a random word that comes to mind and the randomist word wins. These tickets have to be actually picked up by 6pm when reception closes at GeorgeFM on Friday, so maybe don't ask me for one if you can't make it to pick them up?!

As you can see below, they start at 9pm and the last DJ goes on at 4.30am. Phew!

I've included line up below copied from the main webpage for the gig:

Upstairs
9pm Roger Perry
10pm Stormin Norman
11pm Bobby Brazuka
12mn Nyntee
1am Jason Eli
2am Philippa
3am Scott Lelo & Co.
4am Bodge & Azza

Mainroom
9pm Sentimental Sound System
9.30pm T-Rice
10.30pm Dick Johnson
11.30pm Bev Keys
12.30am PU
1.30am Sam Hill
2.30am Greg Churchill
3.30am Karn Hall
4.30am Grant Marshall

Downstairs
9pm Mark Emerson
10pm Geezer Guy
11pm Silk Cuts
12mn Jess & Emma
1am Tim Richards
2am Daniel Farley
3am Grubby Beat
4am Dan Aux

Strangely, you won't be able to buy a ticket for this very exclusive, limited capacity gig, so as the George website says: "get yourself on the doorlist and you'll be the envy of your friends." Hmm...! I'm assuming you can also win tickets by listening to George (inbetween listening to BaseFM!) so its a good ploy to get people to tune in.

Dizzie Rascal, Roy Ayers, Snoop Dog, and Stevie Wonder gigs coming up! Wtf?!

There is some pretty hot music coming up. Nice. I'm off to see Dizzee Rascal tonight, hope that goes OK. More importantly though, Roy Ayers and Stevie Wonder - these are two quite influential keyboardists for me, and its not an option to miss these gigs. Really nice to see some US Hip Hop finally making its way over here with Snoop Dog.

Also the AMU has moved over to an install of WordPress - this is the first AMU posting that is published via the system.

Stay tuned for more info about the upcoming Dam Native gigs, these are below:
