EASY to play at Sponge this Thursday

This one is free entry. Now I gotta say it, normally I don't really go to Sponge that often due to the weird dance music they play there most of the time, but in this instance you have these guys Arts Central putting on an entire night of acts, and working to organise and promote the event, hauling their PA into the venue each Thursday night as a tester to see how the venue goes and think about doing something a permanent Thursday there. Also its worth noting that it seems like they now have a stage at Sponge which wasn't there before from memory.

EASY @ MIXTAPE SESSSIONS 10pm

Every Thursday Arts Central puts on free shows, auditions and selects the best up and coming New Zealand acts and established bands. Shows like this are never free, except this one! Happy hour 6pm-8pm $5 tap beers / house wines.

8.30pm - 9pm Brittany & Bonnie - Two piece acoustic indie/pop/folk with backing tracks
9pm – 9.30pm Emma Penty – Solo keyboard based electropop with dance crew
9.30pm – 10pm Ria Leilua - RnB/soul/funk solo acoustic with DJ backing tracks
10pm – 11pm EASY!

EASY @ Hum Fundraiser Backyard Party with bonfire, bands and beer

Aparently the details are still in flux for this but the idea goes: backyard party fundraising event. Local products 'Kokako' coffee, 'Stolen Rum' available, plus bonfire, candles, cushions, rugs, and live music...The Slacks, EASY, and Jaz from Base Fm is lending her decks to the good cause. I'm thinking... does that make this a BYO party? 12 pack on! Stay tuned.
