I haven't been doing much gigging around this year, but I have been working on some recordings. The first release of the year was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.triptonites.com\/audio\/\">The Triptonites EP<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0a 4 tracker done in my basement as usual! Then I got in trouble with the law and wrote a new Tomachi song about it: \"<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YOkuTnNZ8cw&amp;index=1&amp;list=PL4C4799FDA135D2FE\" target=\"_blank\">I Only Smoked A Few Trees<\/a>\" all shot in the Bay of Islands (Opua\/Okiato\/Orongo Bay\/Kawakawa Railway), and my debut at rapping, shooting the video selfie style, and editing the entire piece.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YOkuTnNZ8cw?list=PL4C4799FDA135D2FE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Finally my African friends <strong>Psychodalix<\/strong> have an EP getting released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/712290818914574\/\">this week at Neck of the Woods<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We got a taste at the start of the year and they've been cooking it up in their padded cells ever since - now finally experience the long awaited '<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Psychodalix\/\" data-hovercard=\"\/ajax\/hovercard\/page.php?id=283091998506613&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A712290818914574%7D\">PsychoDalix<\/a>' sophomore EP 'No Kids In Africa' performed in it's entirety on Friday 27 November at Neck of the Woods<\/p>\n<p>w\/ special guest performances from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/munashemusic\/\" data-hovercard=\"\/ajax\/hovercard\/page.php?id=231053463685936&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A712290818914574%7D\">MUNASH\u00c3\u2030<\/a> X <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NovaThekId\/\" data-hovercard=\"\/ajax\/hovercard\/page.php?id=432129983516508&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A712290818914574%7D\">NXVA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/simbadiablow\/\" data-hovercard=\"\/ajax\/hovercard\/page.php?id=164001973806283&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A712290818914574%7D\">Simba Diallo<\/a> +<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/QualenMathlay\/\" data-hovercard=\"\/ajax\/hovercard\/page.php?id=288641667913279&amp;extragetparams=%7B%22directed_target_id%22%3A712290818914574%7D\">QualenMathlay<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Real Hip Hop get psycho rugged kick back vibe out dalix unified take it back to the source<br \/>\nAFRIKAAAAA<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned for more updates\u00c2\u00a0R18\u00c2\u00a0$10 at the door<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finally got around to restarting the Auckland Music Update newsletter I used to run a few years back.
