Thanks to Everyone who came the Beware gig - it was a great success! Capoeira master Marcelo Pereira (aka Eddy Gordo from the Tekken3 PlayStation game - yes that's right they motion-captured his body for the game) is doing something up at Galatos tonight, and tomorrow a good gig to checkout is Sola Rosa and SJD at Wyndham Bowling Club!

The Roughness have been drafted to play at the Grey Lynn Park Festival next weekend - that should be such a cool time - if it doesn't rain. Also, I'll be playing a gig with Spargo (featuring Kingsley Melhuish on trumpet) at the inspiringly named The Jazz Bar on queen street! Sheeez, my first gig on Queen St.

Respect to the friends and family of Nas Kama (28) who was tragically drowned at Kare Kare beach over a week ago. A great guy, lovely warm personality, and thoughtful Rhodes player. Rest in Peace buddy, you will be missed. There was a Herald Article about it. He played for The Mercenaries and updated the website. As far as I know, they only released one EP - the Sunday Cleanup EP (on mp3.net.nz).
