Dr Vanda Vitali – insensitive, AND incompetant?
Posted by tomachi on May 16th, 2009 filed in RantsToday I read that Vanda Vitali was trying to contest the will of the late Sir Edmund Hilary. WTF?. This is not exactly showing a lot of gratitute toward the gift. What happens now to other people who wish to donate works and artifacts to the museum in their will? This might make them think twice. Silly sausage.
Sure, if it was something low profile that might fly under the radar perhaps, but this is Sir Ed – he’s famous around here. Maybe she didn’t realise this – didn’t someone tell her?

Absolutely he is famous, and Peter and Sarah are famous in their own right as well. It seems to have escaped Ms Vitali’s notice that they are a family as well and a close one at that! There is no way imaginable that Sir Ed would have wanted the Museum to go against the wishes of the family and it is downright ignorant and insulting to all New Zealanders that she would try to bluff this one out, instead of rushing to make amends. I cannot do anything directly to help Sir Ed now, but I can do whatever is in my power to see that this PR spinning menace who has somehow come to have far too much say in what happens to MY museum gets her marching orders. Tomorrow would be good!

Oh yes! Tomorrow if you can…we in the states who endured “her highness’s reign of terror” at our museum in similar ways, couldn’t believe that our board took so long to wise up to her deciet and imcompetance and force her out….Of course she made it seem that she was leading the band out of town, to your place…when her days were numbered here due to her incompetant exhibits and incredibly damaging management techniques with staff. All the best and brightest either left or wanted to soon!
Off with her contract!
