Got this annoucement last week and thought you might find it interesting... A film by Salvador Dali?? Wow! Catch one million dollars at Rakinos later in the month; we are currently recording the overdubs for the debut album.

HOTWIRED#2
FromScratch invites you to HOTWIRED#2 - two nights of silent movies with LIVE free-improv and foley - on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th August, 8pm @
Scapa theatre, Shortland St in the city.

Two different programmes over two nights, featuring 5 suprise combos, performing live to 16mm movie projections that include the famous surrealist film UN CHIEN ANDALOU by Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali, the classic 1928 Dziga Vertov film THE MAN WITH THE MOVIE CAMERA, the
evocative PAUSE THE RISING TIDE by Alexandra Montieth (2001/Ak),& Matthew Brennan's computer-interactive game-piece, MARZUK.IMPROV.NZ (2001/Ak).

Combos are curated by Andrew McMillan, FromScratch, Joyoti Wylie, Matthew Brennan & Marc Chesterman.

MONDAY August 19th programme: MARZUK.IMPROV.NZ & THE MAN WITH THE MOVIE CAMERA
TUESDAY Aug 20th programme: UN CHIEN ANDALOU & PAUSE THE RISING TIDE.

8pm at SCAPA - University of Auckland's school of creative and performing arts theatre, Kenneth Myers Centre, 74 Shortland St. City.
prices: $15 / $11, child $8, for one night, $25 / $18, child $12 for both nights. Tickets at the door.

2 nights for ears and eyes, supported by Arts Alive Auckland City and
Scapa
/ University of Auckland.
