SJD Band will play at True Colours, and then Sean will head up to Kakariki the benefit for The Green Party on the same night, sans band and drumkit - just a solo show that one. True Colours should be quite a large gig with Pacifier (aka Shihad) playing the same night - isn't that an honour?! Not to be missed.
Rumours are around that there will be a big "Sideways 2" gig planned for St James in the future. Very stinky grooves.

Sugarlicks Recordings Aotearoa has announced the signing of popular Auckland band one million dollars. Sugarlicks and one million dollars will immediately begin recording the Energy State LP that is due for release in September 2002.
Gareth Farry, the Managing Director of Sugarlicks Recordings says the new signing is a continuation of his companys aim to encourage innovative New Zealand music.
We are proud to foster the work of local New Zealand artists. Through the Styles Upon Styles I & II compilations we have shown that there is a rich vein of talented musicians and producers in New Zealand who are creating a unique form of South Pacific urban soul. Our collaboration with one million dollars started with the Styles Upon Styles II compilation that included their track Cashmeruffle. We will now continue this relationship through the production of what I am sure will prove a popular collection of upbeat funk, smoky jazz and brooding soul.

Enter a start point and end point in Auckland, and it will tell you which buses to catch to get there. Pretty intelligent system too.
